At approximately 1:26 p.m. on Friday, January 26, 2026, emergency crews were dispatched to a traffic collision involving a vehicle and a residence on Alexander Street near Rose Avenue in Oxnard. According to radio traffic, firefighters arrived to find major structural damage to the home, while the driver had fled the scene prior to their arrival.
Firefighters assisted a resident who was inside the home at the time of the crash, helping them from the damaged structure. The individual was transported by ambulance to a local hospital for treatment. Building and Safety officials were requested, and authorities confirmed an active hit-and-run investigation was underway.
