You may not have heard much about forensics in Belize. But it is used to gain convictions and also to identify bodies or skeletal remains. This is especially welcoming to families who may have lost loved ones and have no means to identify them. There is one man who found a passion in forensics and has excelled. You may not know Dr. Roque Blanco because his field involves the dead. His colleagues join him in this feature to let you know why he is unique in Belize and a hard worker in his field. After a career in the military, he took up medical studies and an internship during Covid. However, he became very ill and needs to raise over $125,000 Belize dollars or $62,500 US dollars for a transplant.
