Pressure ulcers are a common medical complication after spinal cord injury. It is estimated that between 50-80% of all individuals with spinal cord injury will have at least one pressure ulcer in their lifetime. Pressure ulcers are in most part preventable, and having the right knowledge on pressure ulcer prevention is important.
RRTC has created a video and a factsheet focusing on the important factors to think about for proper skin care and pressure ulcer prevention.
