Trains at Stoke-On-Trent - 13/09/2022

Filmed on 13/09/2022. We are revisiting stations which hasn't been covered for well over 6 years as we travel for a day to Cheshire into Staffordshire. Beginning with what is a relatives hometown of Stoke-On-Trent (Season 9 Episode 30)

The station itself hasn't changed but in terms of train services has changed over the time. Cross Country are running hourly to Reading but every 2 hours extending through to Bournemouth as pairing of Voyager/Super Voyagers. Its lead to believe that Northern used to operate daily Pacer workings which lead to Bolton (I think) which no longer runs. But, Northern will soon be getting more of the 323's from West Midlands Railway which this might be an example route of getting additional services/compacity.

East Midlands Railway Purple Turbostar units are running on more diagrams with Newark Castle to Crewe via Derby workings as an example. However, 170511 has developed a fault and note on departure, it was running on only one engine.
