The process involves creating a corridor using line work and selecting the appropriate alignment, ensuring it includes a comprehensive vertical alignment to cover the entire length. The corridor is driven by the surface, using the original ground defined by triangles. Native materials are defined, including on-site soils with properties like shrinkage and bulkage, and a usability percentage for fill. Costs and colors can be assigned to these materials. Off-site borrow materials are also defined for any deficit in on-site soils. Reference lines are selected by layer, and the existing ground is chosen as the reference surface. The corridor setup includes defining the beginning stationing and creating a template using L1 triangles, adding cross-section templates for the finished ground. The process involves managing cut and fill materials and setting up the corridor's initial part. The next steps include adding subgrade materials, extracting cut and fills, and introducing a null template to emphasize bridge sections, removing unnecessary materials in those areas. Further instructions will be provided in the next video to complete the corridor setup.
