A person of interest was arrested on Dec. 9 in Pennsylvania in connection with the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson on a Manhattan street a week earlier, New York City Police Commissioner Jessica Tisch said.
"We have a strong person of interest in the shooting that shook our city," Adams said. "It was crucial that we were able to remove him off the streets of America."
Handwritten papers found on Luigi Mangione "speak to his motivation and mindset," Tisch said.
