Thoughts:
I'm not a build-science player, but I know enough about the game to quickly tech-up and eco in a reasonable timeframe.
Standard stuff - some builders, a rez bot to reclaim labs and commander self destruct for an in-game 6:52 advanced metal extractor.
I was in a support position, so I did my job. I passed out t2 bots to 4 of my teammates before starting air production.
Our team wasn't doing the best by the in-game 15:00 mark - Both of our sea-side players had lost sea control, but our strait players were holding enough ground.
I produced fighters, radar and torpedo bombers and assist with control on the north sea.
Red had a larger fighter count, only of t1 fighters, but it's enough to limit my efforts.
At 26:30, Orange attempted to push with hovercrafts on the east.
Due to sky-blue's poor economy and split-unit choice, he took significant damage even with a good comm-bomb and my emp bomber support.
The second time they pushed the east at 35:20, my air force was strong enough to both decisively crush the invasion force and ward off red's fighter incursion.
Purple made a fantastic push on the west, but I was hesitant to support due to the sheer number of red fighters.
I remained passive with my air force, but I found several good targets, hitting 2 good nukes around 40:20
I hear the alert for the nuclear bomber, so I panned out to view the full map several times over the next few minutes to make interception a high priority.
My air force is strong enough that I'm willing to send it to crush tan's 2 flagship fleet. My air force wins decisively.
I begin to assist the ground forces here and there with light support, some emp bombs and some vision.
At 49:50, The nuclear bomber alert goes off again - Red sent a large squadron of nuclear bombers up to the west - I noticed it and quickly killed the bombing run before they even made it half-way to target.
The game was close to over by player count, but the remaining players had massive economies, especially red.
I send a massive bomber wave, successfully clearing the tan player from the coastline. My bombers had a good opportunity to clear red too, but I didn't realize it and then his fighters arrive.
Despite having anti-nuke coverage, red manages to overwhelm the defenses with even more nukes. Starting at 57:30, Red nukes purple, then me, then green, through each of our single-anti nukes.
This was the game that I learned that you can overwhelm a single anti-nuke with 6+ simultaneous nukes.
At some point, a stray plasma shot collided with their bases' energy converters, causing a massive chain reaction and ending the game.
Obvious things I could've done better:
More anti-nukes, because one isn't enough in a 1+ hour game.
