We are being overrun by carpenter bees. I know there are traps and sprays out there to get them but it is sure fun to shoot them with my Savage Meteor single shot .22 LR made in 1937 that I refinished a few years ago. I sanded the stock and got all the scratches and dents out and put 11 coats of hand rubbed oil on it. It will belong to my 1st Grandson one day. It's an old design that cocks on closing of the bolt which makes it somewhat hard to close the bolt but it has a sweet trigger pull. I could have ran the video longer but I wanted to keep it short and sweet. I ended up killing 10 out of 11 shots. It's more fun than shooting skeet and no recoil. I'm planning on shooting some more tomorrow if the weather permits and my aches and pains will allow me to do so.
