Another couple of sequences showing the work in progress. In the first, you might notice that the walk is much longer, and obviously no color correction has been done. The voice of Joe is a temp before we'd cast him, just to get the timing down.
In both sequences the main thing that likely pops out is that the mouths actually move! This was the original intent from the beginning, and what you see here is an early test for adding them. But unfortunately, this test proved that it would take far too long to add the mouth animations than we had, since they had to be added frame by frame, adjusted accordingly to the slightest movement of the figures. As sad as it was to lose it, it was just time-prohibitive in a 30-minute, several-thousand-frame-long film. Would have added another 6 months at least. That being said, if the added value is worth it to people we may think about revisiting it at a later date (Highlander Veritas: Special Edition!)
