By: Michelle London, Reporter \n \nFor the majority of the classes at Rochester High, lessons are no longer coming from a text book. For the past three years, chrome books have been in use. With this technology, comes a group of students to troubleshoot any issues.\n \n"If they have dropped their chrome book or damaged their screen in any way, we will take off the front cover," said Regan Ernst, a Rochester High School Student.\n \nThat group is called the Help Desk. It's made up of about 25 students that work on block scheduling throughout the school day.\n \n"We were adding 1,600 devices, but we weren't adding any tech staff, so we figured we needed to recruit some help so we decided to make a class," said Brett Moore, Director of Technology for Rochester High School.\n \nBefore becoming a part of the help desk, students must receive on-the-job training to fix computers. Three years in, staffers say its run like a business.\n \n"They come in, bring their issues, if there's an issue that a student caused, they may receive an invoice," said Moore. \n \nAside from gaining hands-on training with technology, being a part of the help desk also comes with future benefits.\n \n"That leads them to being prepared for the a-plus certification if they choose to do so and this would lead them to an entry level tech job when they graduate," said Moore.
