Mourning Gecko Enclosure Decorating | Zoo Med Excavator Clay for Humid Enclosure SUCCESS

In today's video, I decorate my Reptizoo Knock Down 12x12x18 enclosure for my mourning geckos! My mourning geckos were in quarantine for three months before being added to this natural enclosure. It's not fully bioactive as there are no springtails, but pretty close. A heat lamp and thermostat/thermometer was added later, but are there!

Due to my enclosure being acrylic, research shows that silicone wasn't really going to work for a backdrop, but i wanted something more natural than my usual plain backgrounds. After research of different things, I decided to take a risk and use excavator clay, a thing that is used in arid enclosures due to its inability to survive being heavily misted. I came up with using it but entirely covering it up with things that CAN be misted, changed, cleaned etc, and its turned out great! It holds humidity great, and while sometimes it needs a heavier mist than others, a good spray down gives it a clean too.
