Treforest Station 3/12/20

Treforest (one of two stations in Treforest) is located on the line between Cardiff/Pontypridd, and is part of the South Wales Valley rail network with this being in the core section between Pontypridd and Cardiff, services usually all stop here but whilst filming a Covid Timetable was in operation meaning that the station dropped from a train every 20 minutes in each direction to a train every 30 minutes in each direction.

The station is operated and managed by Transport For Wales which operate all services on the Valley network and at the time of filming was using a mix of (Class 150/153) 'sprinters' and (Class 142/143) 'pacer rail buses' to operate the services, hoverer this part of the line is going to potentially lose change because of a new train-tram and a light rail metro system proposed for Cardiff and surrounding valleys.
