Join celebrated tenor 𝘼𝙧𝙩𝙝𝙪𝙧 𝙀𝙨𝙥𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙩𝙪 at the Manila Pianos Showroom on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 7:00 pm. Espiritu, the first Filipino tenor to perform at Teatro alla Scala, brings his extraordinary talent to this special performance. With accolades including the George London Award, the Irene Dalis Competition, and the Metropolitan Opera Council Auditions, Espiritu also made history as the first Filipino featured in Opera Vision’s broadcast of Donizetti’s 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘢 with the Irish National Opera.
Joining him are two of the country’s brightest young sopranos, 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙡𝙡𝙚 𝙏𝙪𝙖𝙨𝙤𝙣 and 𝙉𝙚𝙧𝙞𝙨𝙨𝙖 𝘿𝙚 𝙅𝙪𝙖𝙣 —both graduates of the UST Conservatory of Music and winners of the National Music Competitions for Young Artists. They currently study under Espiritu’s guidance. Accompanied by pianist 𝙂𝙖𝙗𝙧𝙞𝙚𝙡 𝘼𝙡𝙡𝙖𝙣 𝙁𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙤𝙨 𝙋𝙖𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙧𝙞𝙜𝙖𝙣, the evening will feature highlights from Donizetti’s 𝘔𝘢𝘳𝘪𝘢 𝘚𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘢, 𝘓'𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘳 𝘥'𝘢𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦, 𝘓𝘶𝘤𝘪𝘢 𝘥𝘪 𝘓𝘢𝘮𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘮𝘰𝘰𝘳, Gounod’s 𝘍𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘵 and 𝘙𝘰𝘮é𝘰 𝘦𝘵 𝘑𝘶𝘭𝘪𝘦𝘵𝘵𝘦, and Verdi’s 𝘋𝘰𝘯 𝘊𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘰 and 𝘜𝘯 𝘣𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘰 𝘪𝘯 𝘔𝘢𝘴𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘢, among others.
