Unlimited Works Tsukuba - The Final Event of The 2024/2025 Season! - February 18, 2025

On February 18th, I attended my last attack event at Tsukuba for the 2024/25 combined season. An Unlimited Works event, hosted by Kazuhiro Sato, just a few days after the Attack Tsukuba weekend. While most of the frontrunners were recovering from the main event, both Bando and Aoki were as hyped as ever to be back at Tsukuba just a few days later; both with new upgrades and looking to go faster.

Bando had made some changes to the front brakes of the RSC300, and Aoki had a new ported engine with TD07 turbocharger. Had conditions been better, no doubt they both would have set new best times. Unfortunately, as it had been through this ENTIRE season, the weather showed the circuit no love. Serious winds and warm temperatures were working against the drivers all year - I have not once in my career experienced an attack season that has been as bad as this one. It's the one thing you can't control though, and fortunately this was an outlier. I'm hoping when we return later this year we'll see more ideal weather.

I know it's already been 4 months since this event, but I've been so busy this year with both work and life that it's been difficult to find time to curate the event coverage. There are still so many photos to go through from this season and a few features from Attack Tsukuba - I hope I can make time to get them edited.
