The story of The Wolf Among Us takes place in a dark district of New York City called Fabletown, where exiled fairy-tale characters live hidden among ordinary people.

The main character, Bigby Wolf — the former Big Bad Wolf — now serves as the town’s sheriff. He investigates the mysterious murder of a young woman, which gradually uncovers a web of corruption, violence, and dark secrets within the fairy-tale community.

As the investigation unfolds, Bigby faces moral choices that determine who he truly is — a beast or a man.
