A morning railfanning at Franklin Park 5 years ago today. This was actually originally edited together 4 days later on the 10th in 2021 but never ended up getting uploaded. You can tell the editing was from a long time ago. Some things got fixed now though like rotating parts of the clips so the shots still look fine and fixing the audio greatly with a software instead of having to do it every time manually. This will probably lead to more old iPhone videos being uploaded now that it's not hard work.

These catches have aged a lot. All Metras here are F40s except for one and it was 405. It was pretty lucky for that but even then, it was something that could happen from time to time back then. That intermodal from Schiller to Bensenville I believe was also pretty cool and doesn't usually happen, especially now that traffic at Schiller has since closed around late 2024. And you have the WCH bells still, with the north one typically not wanting to work, and horns of course. And CP 8781 before it got repainted.

102 at some point would go to the deadline at western ave, but then it would be back again by the end of 2021. 106 went to the HC shortly after this and not too long after it wouldn't be seen again until it got rebuilt and repainted. CSX 290 has since been rebuilt to CSX 7249. CP 8781 has since been repainted to Hapag Lloyd. Metra 115 has since been out of service since 2022.
