Survivor mode, no deaths, full dreadnought, all scouting locations
Technically it’s not deathless. There was a bug in the game which meant a child didn’t go to a medic when they needed to. Eventually they became gravely ill, and finally died, even though there were plenty of spots in my infirmaries. There’s a well-known bug about people getting stuck disposing of corpses, so the child probably got stuck like that.
There were also four deaths literally in the last four seconds of the game, but since the last transport had left long before that I absolve myself of anything that happened after that haha! Besides which, I was seconds away from ending the game which destroyed the generator and killed everyone anyway, so I consider it part of the overall narrative.
I could restart and do it again, but meh ... it keeps it interesting.
SUMMARY:
I started off extremely strongly which carried me through the rest of the game easily. After someone inexplicably died I lost a bit of motivation and started to meander through the game. I literally dismantled the entire tech workshop hub and rebuilt it again in one night. When we started the evacuation I started to downsize and dismantle the city bit by bit. I didn’t think I’d be able to get enough metal for full dreadnought so I dismantled everything including the Steelworks, and sent all but 4 Engineers off. Then I realized I only needed 378 metal. So, with no coal production, reserves at less than 1000, and the Generator broken down, I rebuilt the Steelworks, produced the required metal, and sent the metal off with the remaining 40 Workers I could fit into the Dreadnought and waited 19 hours for the transport to arrive. All in dying embers of the Generator.
Great game!
Winterhome is definitely easier than Refugees, but on Deathless Survivor I would say it's just as difficult. What makes Winterhome easy is you have 500 people doing anything you want, what makes it hard is you have 500 people doing anything they want. It's very easy to have one or two die every now and again, so it becomes very finicky trying to keep on top of everything that's going on. I restarted Winterhome many more times than I restarted Refugees.

Research: More Scouts - Hunting Tactics - Flying Hunters - Medical Post Upgrade - Factory - Steam Steelworks - Automaton Integration - Difference Engine - Steam Coal Thumper - Advanced Steelworks - Automaton Integration II - Automatic Prototyping - Faster Gathering - Streamlined Prosthesis - Infirmary Mechanization - Repair Station - Repair Station I - Optimized Shifts - Emergency Repair - Faster Outpost Teams - Repair Station II - Resource Depot Upgrade - Automatic Integration III - Generator Efficiency Upgrade - etc.
TIPS:
1. STEEL!
2. MORE STEEL!!
3. EVEN MORE STEEL!!!
4. Dismantle as many roads as possible at the beginning to get a strong injection of wood
5. First law must be Radical Treatment to treat Gravely Ill
6. Get all the Engineers from the scouting locations home, you need them for research and Medical Posts.
7. However, leave the Automaton there, you need the steel …
8. Redesign the city. You have almost 600 workers, you can literally demolish an entire hub and rebuild it in one night.
9. Centralize Medical Hubs and Cookhouses
10. Focus on clearing ruins in an area that you want to use. Build a Steam Hub and a Gathering Post in that area.
11. Use the Overdrive effectively to reduce Coal consumption.
12. Don’t need to research Coal much in this scenario
13. Don’t sign Overcrowded early in the game or it’ll cause people to die.
14. Generator Malfunctions only happen at night. Put all the Engineers into the Generator at night, then put them back into research during the day.
