Chester Back | Reminiscing Chat | Elle & Evie off on Cruise

Lots and lots of little moments put together in this video. All from the heart. To those that do enjoy the music, I do too, the songs are often chosen for the words and how they relate to what the dogs have gone through as well as the humans here at the farm. They’re about love, friendship, hope, faith, understanding and overcoming adversity.

A beautiful early morning with the pack as the sun rises. Tank and Chopper soak up the girls’ love and couch time. They’ve heard that the girls are off on a cruise ship for the weekend with Nanny and Poppy. They have to get lots of cuddles in before they leave. They’ve also heard that Barney has joined the farm special forces and they’re not sure what they think about this. Pillow fights is more their style so they start a game of that with Dad.

Then it’s that special farm forces training time we were talking about for Abra, Barney and Rosco. Abra is a natural, she has fun and makes it look easy. Barney on the other hand, takes it seriously. He’s letting out all his frustrations. Bro’s not taking him seriously. Wearing nappies. And those 6 months being pushed around in a pram. Well no more! He says. Finally, this is what I’m talking about! Rosco swaggers in like this is just his kind of strawberry jam. Ding ding!

On a more serious note, at this stage, this kind of training is simply giving these dogs a fun outlet plus teaching them some boundaries for biting. We’re not training for the doggy UFC.

Speaking of doggy UFC … we have a chat about days gone by, after watching back some old footage of training Rosco and Chance we find.

It might be difficult for some to watch. So a word of warning (18:10-27:40 there’s a few clips during this time on the video).

The video brought back a lot of memories. It was quite a challenging time for us. Personally. At the time, we didn’t know if we’d make it. We feel we can talk about it a little now that we’re on the other side of it.

Then it’s off for refreshing swim. It’s joyous.

Our good friend Chester the Chocolate Labrador arrives for just a couple of days but he’s so pumped. That wiggle bum is on overdrive. And just as he suspected, we’re having pizza in the pool. Woohoo! Exactly the kind of holiday Chester had hoped for.

Except … he discovers the farm now has a cat! The meeting does not quite go to plan. Think Dug off Up and his love of squirrels.

But Kitty survives, she’s too quick for Chester and we give Chester another swim whilst Kitty comes out for her afternoon adventure spent hunting insects.
