MechWarrior 5: Clans by Piranha Games is the latest installment in the MechWarrior series of video games, part of the larger BattleTech universe.

In the year 3048, a mysterious vessel appears in orbit above the planet Huntress; homeworld of Clan Smoke Jaguar. The discovery of their hidden star systems by the rest of humanity threatens every Clan, and so Leo Showers of Smoke Jaguar convinces his fellow Khans to launch Operation REVIVAL; the preemptive invasion of the Inner Sphere. Their goal is to reach Terra and establish a new Star League.

MechWarrior 5: Clans offers a new perspective on the Clan Invasion first introduced in the Blood of Kerensky trilogy of BattleTech novels. The game covers the events of 1989's Lethal Heritage and 1990's Blood Legacy.

Ghost Bear: Flash Storm is the first DLC campaign for MechWarrior 5: Clans. It adds twelve additional missions and eight 'Mech chassis, as well as a new story covering the actions of the Silverroot Keshik, beginning with the Trials of Possession on Huntress against the Jade Falcon and Smoke Jaguar clans, and then on Alshain where they take the fight to the Draconis Combine.

CAMPAIGN BRIEFING:

The year is 3052. As Operation REVIVAL enters its third year, the Great Houses of the Inner Sphere have begun to adapt, resulting in a handful of key victories against the Clans.

In the aftermath of Luthien, ComStar discovered the true intentions of their Clan allies: the conquest of Terra, ComStar's seat of power for the past three hundred years. Alarmed by this news, but unwilling to fully dissolve their alliance, ComStar Primus Myndo Waterly dispatches Precentor Martial Anastasius Focht with a proposal for thee Clan's ilKhan, Ulric Kerensky.

A proposal that may very well determine the ultimate fate of ComStar and the entire Clan invasion.
