More than 1,000 riders gathered recently near the Kyrgyz region of Kara-Suu to contest the ancient sport of Kok-boru, where competitors on horseback fight to drag a goat carcass over a goal line. The event was massive, chaotic, and (as far as anyone can remember) unprecedented.
