The Church joyfully celebrates the Feast of St. Agnes, Virgin and Martyr, a young saint whose life bears powerful witness to courage, purity, and unwavering faith in Christ. Though still in her youth, St. Agnes chose fidelity to God above all else, offering her life as a testimony that true strength is found not in power or age, but in steadfast love for the Lord.
In a world that often measures worth by influence and approval, St. Agnes reminds us that holiness is rooted in the integrity of the heart and total trust in God. Her martyrdom proclaims that nothing—not fear, suffering, nor death itself—can separate us from the love of Christ. Like a spotless lamb, she followed the Lamb of God with courage, humility, and joy.
As we honor St. Agnes, may her example inspire us to live with purity of intention, boldness in faith, and perseverance in discipleship. Through her intercession, may we remain faithful to Christ in every circumstance and grow in love for God and one another.
