高蔵寺は、城下町として知られている兵庫県丹波篠山市の北西に位置しており、地元では通称「高倉の高蔵寺(こうぞうじ)」と呼ばれ、”こじんまり”とした山寺ですが、寺の中を山から一本の小川が流れており、春は美しい「枝垂桜」、秋はみごとな「もみじ」で有名です。
近年は、日本の観光客が少し増えてきましたが、それでも美しい山あいを訪れ、季節の移ろいを肌で感じながら縁台に座り鳥の声と小川のせせらぎを聴き、ゆっくり落ち着いて昔ながらのお茶と団子をいただきながらローカルな人々の穏やかさと優しさに触れて話を咲かせていると、心身ともにリフレッシュできる心地の良い隠れ場所です。

Kōzōji Temple is located in the northwest of Tanba-Sasayama City, Hyogo Prefecture, known as a castle town. Locally called “Takakura-no,” it is a small mountain temple. A stream flows through the temple grounds from the mountains, and it is famous for its beautiful weeping cherry blossoms in spring and splendid autumn foliage.While Japanese tourists have increased slightly in recent years, it remains a pleasant hidden retreat where visitors can refresh both body and mind. Here, you can explore the beautiful mountain valley, feel the changing seasons firsthand, sit on a veranda listening to birdsong and the babbling brook, and slowly savor traditional tea and dumplings while engaging in conversation with the calm and kind local people.
