Trains at Kent's NEWEST Railway Station: Thanet Parkway (31/07/2023)

Here's a collection of footage from the all-new Thanet Parkway Railway Station in Cliffsend just outside of Ramsgate, taken on the day it opened to the public. A number of fast and slow trains feature throughout this video taken at the new station. Fully-accessible but due to be un-staffed, it's rather controversial locally due to running over-budget, not exactly the prettiest of stations, quite secluded on its platforms and in quite an isolated location. Nevertheless, it is extra capacity for people heading into Thanet or into London. At the time, no buses served the station and only hourly high-speed services via Canterbury served the station during the off-peak, though this has since changed and local services now serve the station. The station still leaves much to be desired though...
