S2 EP-5 Bamako Mali, Ouagadougou Burkina Faso, Lome Togo and Cotonou Benin by Motorcycle Trip

Our West Africa trip let us pass the next countries Bamako Mali, Ouagadougou Burkina Faso, Lome Togo and Cotonou Benin by Motorcycle. Yes, It is a trip around the world on motorcycle :)

1st Mali (Bamako) this is a very interesting country but unfortunately not to travel at the moment we where there. We would have loved to visit Timbuktu for example but this is a no go area, the local authorities wouldn't allow you to go there at all. So for us Mali was a country we passed through and where we made new friends in the capital Bamako Mali.

2nd Burkina Faso (Ouagadougou) a interesting country to visit and when we did it was very very hot so we couldn't stay so long in the country as we visited the capitol Ouagadougou Burkina Faso and loaded up some energy before we continued our trip southwards to Lome Togo.

3rd Togo (Lome) the country where we came back to the Atlantic ocean during West Africa trip, we didn't see the ocean since Guinea Bissau. We crossed the complete country North to South till we couldn't go further haha. Also in Lomé Togo we picked up our visa for the Republic Congo and Gabon. We meet up again with some friends we made on the road and continued our trip more South again.

4th Benin (Cotonou) where we enjoyed the beach life for a few days while we applied for our visa for the Democratic Republic of Congo, a bit of a tricky visa to get you can read here how we got our visa's for the West Africa trip on the road. We didn't stay so long in Cotonou Benin as the rain season is knocking on the door and we want to avoid that in both Congo's as things will get rough there.
