Guys I sold out. After briefly playing Luigi's Mansion and watching my roommates go through some, I finally decided I have to do one more Halloween cover this month. Choosing the dirtiest hip-hoppingest and daresay, dankest, of all songs, I set out to cover a song with JUST Bass Guitar and Synths (Thanks Alan for letting me borrow it!). A lot of that is because my 7 string is in the shop for small fix ups, but I think of it as a fun experiment (and you Youtubers should try it out!). Most of the tonality of the bass was based on how I would mix them together. The auto-wah funk lead bass was EQ'd a lot to keep up mid/treble presence, and the low end was really blended in to tie with the kick drum. The drum kits something out of Battery, and essentially got more of an electronic sound than Superior Drummer 2.0. Honestly I can't really make excuses, this was a fun cover and I regret nothing. Can't think of much influence, though I heard some Caravan Palace from a friend ages ago in a similar style. Hope you enjoy this goof cover and look forward to some conventional Swiggles soon!
