Xbox One Power Supply REAL FIX

Xbox One Power Supply (aka Power Brick) REAL FIX that can be completed in about 30 minutes with a few cheap parts

Complete DIY guide, even beginners can fix this one on their own.

You will need 3 replacement parts:
3 capacitors--2200 microF 16V, 10x25mm or 10x20mm will also work. Available from your local electronics supply store for just a few dollars or here are the ones I used from Amazon ($7). https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07...

You will need some 4 basic tools:
1. Soldering iron and solder. Available from any local hardware store, probably even your local Walmart. Here is a fine set from Amazon ($10): https://www.amazon.com/GLE2016-Solder...
2. T-10 Torx Tamper proof bit or driver. Available from any local hardware store, probably even your local Walmart. Here's a set that would work from Amazon ($9): https://www.amazon.com/Titan-12710-Ta...
3. Common wire cutters
4. Small flat head screwdriver or maybe even a kitchen knife (just needed to pry the screw covers off)

How to Test your Xbox One Power Supply:
1. Unplug it from both the wall (or power strip) and console for at least 10 seconds.
2. Plug the power supply back into the wall. The power supply light should turn orange.
3. Plug the power supply into the back of the console. A good power supply light will stay orange. But on a bad power supply the light will turn off. If yours turns off, this fix is for you.

Another way to test:
1. Unplug it from both the wall (or power strip) and console for at least 10 seconds.
2. Plug the power supply back into the wall. The light should turn orange.
3. Unplug the power supply from the wall. If the light stays orange for 10+ seconds, then your power supply is probably good. If the light turns off immediately when unplugged (or within 5 seconds), then your power supply is bad. If yours turns off immediately then this fix is for you.
