Originally designed as a drafting tool by a mechanical engineer, the Spirograph combines art and math to create gorgeous designs. In celebration of the toy's 50th anniversary, Kahootz is releasing this special limited-edition Original Super Spirograph Design Set, and as the name probably suggests, this is one big kit. This kit comes with more than 75 pieces to work with beyond the basic wheel designs, such as a special die-cast metal 50th Anniversary Commemorative Wheel, rails, triangular wheels, oval wheels, and even a bar and quad wheel you can use instead of the precision wheels. There are also interchangeable spiro-tracks that can be snapped together to create designs. To get started, simply follow the 24-page design guide. Select a design and adhere your center ring, bar, or spiro-track down with the included Spiro-putty. This will hold the template in place as you work. Then grab an inner wheel tow work with. Each inner wheel features teeth, which lock into place inside or outside the ring, bar, or Spiro-track. Select a blue, green, or red pen and place its tip into one of the multiple holes on the wheels and moving in a circular motion around the ring, bar, or Spiro-track. Each hole on each wheel yields a different design. Be sure to keep the pen held at a 90 degree angle, otherwise the wheel's teeth can disconnect with the ring and mess up your design. Applying too much pressure as you go can also cause the same issue. When you are satisfied with your design, change the pen colors, grab another wheel, or try another hole in each wheel to repeat the process. Also included are two drawing pads and large sheets of paper.

Everything stores back in the portfolio-style case, which snaps closed and features a handle for take-along play.
