五台山龍泉寺坐落於台懷鎮南5公里處小車溝村九龍崗山腰，因寺東山泉「龍泉」得名。相傳文殊菩薩在此鎮壓九條惡龍，泉底可見龍影。寺院始建於宋代，原為楊家將家廟，後山坡有楊業瘞骨塔（令公塔）；明嘉靖年間重修，民國初年再度重建，現存建築多為民國風貌，是五台山石雕藝術代表性寺院。

普化寺坐東向西，佔地1.89萬平方米，布局嚴謹對稱，為民國建築風格。寺外一字影壁是五台山最長的磚石照壁，雕刻「福祿壽三星」「文王別子」等圖案，工藝精湛。核心建築沿中軸線展開：天王殿有獨特木雕盤龍柱與「哼哈二將」塑像；大雄寶殿供「華嚴三聖」與「西方三聖」，殿側十八羅漢包含釋迦牟尼生母摩耶夫人，屬罕見設置；三佛殿供橫三世佛，後方增建臥佛殿與山體臥佛遙相呼應。

其核心文化特色為精湛的民國石雕藝術，影壁與石牌坊雕刻細膩、內涵豐富，兼具楊家將歷史遺存與三教融合文化底蘊。108級台階象徵去除百八煩惱，龍泉聖水為信眾祈福聖物，寺院兼具宗教朝聖、石雕藝術欣賞與歷史尋跡價值。

Longquan Temple of Wutai Mountain is located on the hillside of Jiulonggang, Xiaochegou Village, 5 kilometers south of Taihuai Town. It gets its name from the "Longquan" (Dragon Spring) east of the temple. Legend has it that Manjushri Bodhisattva suppressed nine evil dragons here, and dragon shadows can be seen at the bottom of the spring. First built in the Song Dynasty, the temple was originally the ancestral temple of the Yang Family Generals, with a tomb tower of Yang Ye (Linggong Tower) on the back hillside; renovated during the Jiajing period of the Ming Dynasty and rebuilt in the early years of the Republic of China, most of the existing buildings retain the style of the Republic of China, making it a representative temple of stone carving art in Wutai Mountain.

Covering an area of 15,950 square meters, Longquan Temple has 165 halls and monks' dormitories with a scattered and orderly layout. Its core features are the "Three Treasures of Longquan": the brick and stone screen wall carved in 1922 (the 11th year of the Republic of China), themed on the "Epitome Map of Wutai Mountain Buddhism", including various temples and Buddhist allusions of Wutai; the white jade stone archway above the 108-step staircase, a three-door, four-pillar and three-headed hollow carving with 89 dragons and 36 lions, integrating Confucian, Buddhist and Taoist elements, known as the "First Carving of China"; and the Puji Pagoda, built in the Republic of China for Monk Puji, who educated numerous disciples and restored 18 temples. The core buildings along the central axis include Heavenly King Hall, Guanyin Hall and Mahavira Hall, enshrining statues of Maitreya, the Three Great Bodhisattvas, the Horizontal Trinity Buddhas and other sacred figures.

Its core cultural feature is the exquisite stone carving art of the Republic of China. The screen wall and stone archway are exquisitely carved with rich connotations, combining the historical relics of the Yang Family Generals and the cultural heritage of the integration of three religions. The 108 steps symbolize the elimination of 108 troubles, and the Longquan holy water is a sacred object for believers to pray for blessings. The temple has the value of religious pilgrimage, stone carving art appreciation and historical exploration.
