Delicious Cranberry Sauce for Winter

Welcome To Calm Kitchen!

Let’s make delicious Cranberry Sauce for winter.

Ingredients:
200g fresh or frozen cranberries
100g sugar (adjust to taste)
100ml water
1 small orange (juice and zest)
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 small star anise
1 teaspoon finely chopped fresh ginger

Instructions:
1. In a small saucepan, combine water, sugar, and orange juice. Stir over medium heat until the sugar dissolves.
2. Add cranberries, orange zest, cinnamon, star anise and ginger.
3. Bring to a gentle boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 10–15 minutes, stirring occasionally. The cranberries will burst and the sauce will thicken slightly.
4. Remove from heat and discard the star anise if used.
5. Allow the sauce to cool to room temperature — it will thicken further as it cools.
6. Serve alongside roast meats, stuffing, or even spread on toast.
