*The Kuragarigoe Nara Kaido road, which has been selected as one of the 100 best roads in Japan, is the main road that connects Osaka and Nara, and is still in use as National Route 308.
The Kuragari Toge Pass at the prefectural border has been selected as one of Japan’s 100 Famous Passes, and the stone pavement that reminds us of those days is still in place.*Ikoma Sanjo Amusement Park is a mountaintop amusement park located on Mount Ikoma, which straddles the border between Nara and Osaka prefectures. Known for its retro atmosphere, panoramic views, and family-friendly attractions, it has been in operation since 1929.
*Hozanji Temple, also known as Ikoma Shoten, is a Shingon Risshu Buddhist temple located halfway up Mount Ikoma in Nara Prefecture. The temple is a centuries-old pilgrimage site, particularly popular with merchants from nearby Osaka who come to pray for business prosperity. The tranquil mountain setting, combined with its unique history and blended religious elements, gives it a spiritual and otherworldly atmosphere.
