To construct a large-scale, twin-pipe culvert under the Spree River, two large PE pipes with diameters of 1400 mm and 1200 mm were laid using trenchless technology. Supplied by FRANK GmbH and manufactured by AGRU Kunststofftechnik GmbH, the Dutch company Visser & Smit Hanab laid the PE pipe using the horizontal flush drilling method as a subcontractor. Due to its dimensions, this was a real world first!
