The Legend of the Pope Lick Monster

For nearly a half century there has been an urban legend about a monster that supposedly lives around the Pope Lick area in Louisville,Ky. Part of the legend is that if you walk across the trestle you may see the monster.Folks there is no monster, it is plain and simple bullshit! But if you are caught on this trestle with a fast moving train bearing down on you, you will think you've seen a monster! The trestle is very long from end to end and it isn't much wider than the train itself.The trains appear suddenly out of nowhere without warning and are traveling at a very high rate of speed.If caught on the trestle with a fast moving train approaching there is nowhere to go but over the side and it's a long way down.There have been several young people killed here, most recently a beautiful young woman from Dayton, Ohio.What a tragic, terrifying and senseless way to die.Don't be stupid - there is no monster.
