In this video, we have depicted our visit to the easternmost railway station of India, Ledo.
We started our journey from the New Tinsukia railway station in Assam. There is a single-track railway section from New Tinsukia to Ledo. Very few trains run in this section. We travelled by Guwahati - Ledo Intercity Express which is a daily train. It departs at 11:15 from New Tinsukia railway station and reaches Ledo at 13:15 after covering 4-5 intermediate railway stations. Among them, Digboi and Margherita are the significant railway stations. One can also see the Digboi oil refinery on the left just before entering Digboi (the oil town of Assam).
Ledo is very important, and it is the nearest railway station for people who stay in the Jagun area of Assam or in the Maio and Nampong areas of Arunachal Pradesh.
Nampong - Myanmar border is the motorable border sharing with Myanmar and India in Assam.
