FIG Official - 15th World Gymnaestrada, Helsinki (FIN), July 12 - 18, 2015 - Opening Ceremony.
More than 20'000 gymnasts from all corners of the globe have gathered in Helsinki (FIN) to demonstrate and share their talent and passion for Gymnastics in an atmosphere of fun and international friendship. First organised in Rotterdam (NED) in 1953, in just a little more than half a century the World Gymnaestrada has become the most popular gymnastics festival in the world. This 15th World Gymnaestrada was officially opened July 12th by Tarja Halonen, former President of the Republic of Finland.
