In the mid-Joseon Dynasty, the sword became more than a simple weapon—
it was established as a symbol of royal authority and the spirit of the people.

In particular, the Sain Sword (sign sword),
known for its role in warding off evil,
took on a more practical and functional form.

The Great King appointed Yi Yeong-gi as a royal swordsmith,
and entrusted Admiral Yi Sun-sin and Yi E-gi
with official positions, including overseeing sword inspections in the Jeolla Province.
Far from being a simple ceremonial blade,
it was a sword that stood on real battlefields.

It symbolized the royal trust
and the weight of responsibility granted by the Joseon royal court.

General Yi Eok-gi, leading the Jeolla naval forces,
achieved numerous victories
by blocking Japanese advances at Busanpo, Usuyeong, and other key locations.

He ultimately played a decisive role
in securing victories in major naval battles,
including the Great Battle of Hansando.

The Sainchamsa-geom, forged with the spirit of Joseon,
became a true weapon of war in General Yi’s hands.

Even after centuries have passed,
