I Let AI Do My Color Analysis… and I Was Shocked by the Results!

What happens when you let Artificial Intelligence decide your color palette? In this Color Class experiment, I (Sara) asked an AI to act as an expert in the 12-palette system and analyze me—based only on a prompt. No drapes. No makeup. No filters. Just raw data and curiosity.

Here’s the exact prompt I gave:

“I want you to act as an expert in the 12 palette system and color analyze me. I want you to give me a description of the features like my hair, eyes, and skin tone.”

And here’s what the AI came back with:

Skin tone: light to light-medium, neutral to slightly warm

Eye color: blue-gray, cool-toned, and muted

Hair color: soft golden-copper brown

Final verdict? Soft Autumn.

But here’s the twist: I think the AI got it a little wrong.
While some of the descriptions were accurate, the colors it chose for me were too light and lacked the depth and balance I need. With my neutral-leaning skin tone and low-contrast eyes, I actually need more grounded, rich, and softly neutral shades than what the Soft Autumn palette alone provides.
