First Time at Universal Resorts — Was It Worth It? | Loews Royal Pacific | IOA & Studios | Day 8

Day 8 – the halfway point of the holiday.

We were definitely feeling it this morning and just couldn’t drag ourselves out early enough to make it over to Universal for early entry. We finally arrived at Loews Royal Pacific just after 9am, and wow — this hotel was absolutely beautiful. It was definitely a class above the Drury Plaza, but for the price difference, you’d expect that.

We had a quick wander around the resort before heading to the water taxi, excited to finally see where the river actually went 🚢. The plan was to head straight to Islands of Adventure, but the ramp dropped us at Universal Studios, so we thought… why not start there?

We spent a few hours in Studios riding some old favourites and checking out a couple of newer rides. After that, we decided to take the Hogwarts Express over to IOA — and honestly, we wish we’d just walked. It’s always such a long-winded process 😴.

Of course, Hannah headed straight for VelociCoaster, while I took on River Adventure, especially with the lovely weather ☀️. I followed that up with Ripsaw Falls, which turned out to be an absolute soaker! After that, we headed back to Loews Royal Pacific to chill in the room and spend some time by the pool 😎.

Around 6pm, we made our way back to the parks via the walkway and grabbed Panda Express on the way in 🐼😋. With the camera battery dying, I didn’t think we’d manage to catch the show for you — but it somehow limped on until the very end, and we managed to bring it all to you.

After the vlog finished, we spent about an hour walking around CityWalk before heading back to the hotel for an early night 😴.
