This gold sniping trip in Northern New South Wales didn’t go as planned! I set out to find a new creek I’d never been to before, hoping for untouched gold-rich waters. But things quickly took a strange turn—while trying to get to the creek, I came across abandoned cars and felt an eerie, unsettling vibe, like something out of a "Hills Have Eyes" movie. Trusting my instincts, I turned back and switched plans.
After checking a dry gully with no luck, I decided to try a new section of the river I hadn’t explored before. Despite the creepy start, the day turned into a beautiful adventure, complete with stunning scenery and a moderate amount of gold. It’s all part of the thrill of gold sniping—unexpected challenges, memorable locations, and the reward of discovery.
