Weekend Adventures Mini Album Tutorial - Part 1

This Part 1 Tutorial is "homework" for my Live on Thursday, Sep 18th. There was no way I could get this entire album made in about an hour, so I've created the base album in this video. I wrapped chipboard and used the Lay Flat Method (from @CountryCraftCreations) for this book. We'll have a spine hinge with three base pocket pages. I'm working with both the Weekend Adventures Scrapbooking Workshop Kit and the Designer Series Paper pack. Links are below all the measurements.

So, creating the base album is in this tutorial. Then during Thursday's Live video, we'll have Part 2 of the tutorial and add all sorts of flips, pockets, inserts, photo booklets, interesting bits and tart up some of the pages with stickers and die-cuts from the workshop kit.

Finished album size is 8 1/2" x 8 1/2" x 1 1/4". There is SO MUCH room on these pages for pictures and EXTRAS! I haven't worked on an album this large in a few years. I'm very excited about it!

Here are ALL of the paper measurements, going in the order that I created the album base. There is no blog post for this video, so all of the measurements are here in the video description.

CS = cardstock

DSP = Designer Series Paper (patterned paper)

Covers/Spine:

Chipboard: (2) 8 1/2" x 8 1/2"; (1) 1 1/4" x 8 1/2"
CS: (2) 10 1/2" x 10 1/2", (1) 4 1/4" x 10 1/2"

Inside Spine:

CS: (1) 4 1/4" x 8 3/8"

Hing:

CS: (1) 3 1/2" x 8", scored on the 3 1/2" side at 1/2", 1", 1 1/4", 1 3/4", 2 1/4", 2 1/2", 3"

Pocket Pages:

CS: (6) 8" x 8 1/2", scored at 8"
