I got my hands on some local mussels, but when I shelled them they were too soft for bait (totally useless)
So I thought I would try Salting them to toughen them up and am pleasantly surprised with the results as they firmed up nicely
A few reasons to salt Bait - It toughens and Preserves the bait as well as intensifies the scent for more Bites
Also No need to freeze or refrigerate, Keep in your Boat or Tackle box
