Effects Notes:
The LF-7 and "1x12 Open Vintage" cabinet models are only used for the first part of the intro, and the AmpliTube flanger effect only comes into play for the last few chords of the same section of the intro. The entire rest of the song uses the "4x12 Closed Modern 2" cabinet model, as well as the AmpliTube tube compressor. A note on the flanger effect - it's not exactly "perfect," as Runaway is at a tempo of 109 BPM, which I wanted to cut in half (54.5 BPM) to create a very slow flanging effect like what is heard on the recording. However, AmpliTube 3 doesn't allow for tempo settings lower than 60 BPM, so I did the best I could. I tried adjusting the Rate knob manually without even using the "BPM Sync" function, but this setup is what ended up sounding the best.
NOTE This video reuses almost all of the audio from my previous upload. I recently discovered that the end of the bridge is played slightly differently from how I used to play it, so I re-recorded that section of the song and edited it into my existing guitar track.
Here's the majority of the guitar in Runaway...outside of the bridge, the whole thing is based around the same four-chord progression, just with a couple variations (the first two chords of the riff are played in different octaves in different parts of the song, and the rhythm changes a bit during the outro). The bridge is a pretty simple half-step palm-muted thing, but it also contains a very hand-stretching Csus2 chord that spans from the first fret to the fifth fret.
