To me, the true test of a vocal synth bank's capabilities is how well they handle languages that they were not designed to support directly. Although the Lunai Project voicebanks support a wide variety of languages, Spanish is one that it doesn't directly support—that is, the phonemes that it comes with are not explicitly labeled as being for Spanish. I had to frankenstein words using the banks' different phonemes (mostly those for French, whose vowels were surprisingly fitting for Spanish) to get pronunciations that sounded as natural as possible. This also meant that I had to internally hijack the banks' dsdict-es.yaml file so that I didn't have to resort to pure phoneme input all throughout. In the end, I think the Lunai banks gave incredible results, and I look forward to trying to make them sing in other languages in the future!
