Calculate Your Fountain’s Water Volume
The amount of water your fountain holds depends on its shape. Here’s how to estimate it:

For Rectangular or Square Basins:
Use this formula:

Volume=Length(ft)×Width(ft)×Depth(ft)×7.48
(7.48 is the number of gallons in one cubic foot.)

Example: If your fountain basin is 3 feet long, 2 feet wide, and 1 foot deep:
3×2×1×7.48=44.88 gallons

For Circular Basins:
Use this formula:

Volume=3.14×Radius(ft)×Depth(ft)×7.48
Example: If your basin has a 2-foot diameter (1-foot radius) and is 1.5 feet deep: 3.14×(1×1)×1.5×7.48=35.3 gallons
