Mass Exodus Turning Uttarakhand Rural Regions to Ghost Villages

In this special report, we investigate how hundreds of villages in Uttarakhand have been turned into 'ghost' villages following mass migration of residents towards greener pastures. NDTV visits some of the remote regions of Pauri Garhwal where we find there are villages which house barely a dozen or less people, mainly senior citizens. Senior journalist Arvind Mudgal says that villagers in Uttarakhand find it difficult to sustain a livelihood using traditional methods of farming and are slowly abandoning the profession.
