Introduction
Shona is a bantu language spoken in most parts of Zimbabwe and some parts of Mozambique. Shona is related and similar to other bantu languages spoken across the width and breath of the African continent. Bantu languages includes but are not limited to swahilli, chewa, zulu, ndebele and so on.
Shona Alphabet
The shona alphabet uses a subset of the English language alphabet. It uses 23 out of the 26 letters found in the English language. The 3 letters that are excluded from the shona language are L, Q and X.

Vowels
Out of the 23 letters of the shona language 5 are vowels. Vowels are particularly important in the shona language in that any letter or combination of letters always end with a vowel.
In this introductory lesson I teach you how to pronounce these correctly in Shona.
