It has been weeks since dozens of animals were seized from a Chandler home that also served as an animal rescue, and now, the mother of a woman who allegedly ran the rescue spoke with FOX 10 Investigator Justin Lum.
The rescue's owner, identified as April McLaughlin, was originally accused of dozens of animal welfare-related offenses, but Maricopa County prosecutors have sent the charges back to Chandler Police, and an investigation remains ongoing.
McLaughlin is also accused of abusing her mother, Kathleen McLaughlin. Charges related to the alleged adult abuse were also sent back to Chandler Police for further investigation.
