🇬🇹 I live in Guatemala City with my Guatemalan husband, and we travel together frequently all over the country! However, this time, I flew home to Florida, then flew back to Guatemala together with my mom.

🇬🇹We decided to stay in the village of Lake Atitlán, and this video contains information to help you understand what it's like to arrive at the Guatemala City airport, transfer to Panajachel, take a boat taxi to Santa Cruz La Laguna, and then explore this small village!

🚗We highly recommend hiring the company called GuateDriver for private transfers to anywhere in Guatemala. You can contact them on Instagram at @Theyguatedriver23 or on WhatsApp at +502-3775-7831. They are a very professional company with many drivers who speak English and Spanish (not all drivers speak English but some of them do). I've compared them with other drivers and companies in Gutemala and they have some of the best rates. Please don't just hire a random driver from Facebook groups. Some of them are professional but some are not (I know from experience).

We rented our kayaks from Los Elementos in Santa Cruz La Laguna.

🛶 Stand-up paddle boarding:

Los Elementos offers paddleboard rentals, too. We also want to mention there is a company called Stand Up Paddle Atitlan, and they have a sunrise paddleboard tour every day. We tried to book this but unfortunately, the winds were too strong, so they didn't have the tour on the day we tried to book.
