Despite what some might think, many people with paralysis can drive! We purchased our accessible van from United Access, formerly the Ability Center, in Phoenix, Arizona. Chris controls his gas and brake with a push/pull lever, and he locks into place with the U-Lock system that connects with a pin that was added onto the underside of his power wheelchair. This is a short demo of how he loads and drives.
