Krčedin isle, one of the largest islands on the Danube in Serbia, is a part of the ”Koviljsko-petrovaradinski rit” Special Nature Reserve. Stretching along the flood prone area of the Danube, it is one of the most attractive and highly preserved marsh regions in Vojvodina Province, a place where hundreds of horses are free to gallop. Krčedin isle is truly a kind of modern Noah’s Ark with its horses among the old willows, its rare and protected plants and animal species.
Unfortunately, there are those who cannot see this beauty and who cause negative changes of the isle.
