🕰️ This timepiece dates back to the late 1930s to early 1940s, and it came to me in remarkable condition — complete with the original Longines box, guarantee papers, bracelet, and signed buckle.

Opening the case and inspecting the beautifully preserved 9L movement
Removing the hands and dial with care
Examining the bimetallic balance wheel, designed to compensate for temperature variations — a hallmark of high-end horology at the time
Noting some issues like excessive gain and slight endshake on a few jewels
Beginning the full teardown and service process, including oiling, cleaning, and adjusting
